Homemade ketchup: you’ll lick your fingers!

Every year I try to close as many jars of this homemade ketchup as possible, because it is hundreds of times tastier than store-bought and completely natural. It is very simple to prepare and there will be no difficulties. In my family, this ketchup is eaten very quickly; there is never enough of it until spring.

ИINGREDIENTS:

Tomatoes – 3 kg

Apples – 0.5 kg

Onion — 0.25 kg

Salt — 1.5 tbsp. spoons

Sugar — 1.5 cups

Apple cider vinegar – 50 g

Black and red pepper — to taste

PREPARATION:

Chop all the ingredients and cook until the onion is soft.

Grind the mixture with a blender (if desired, pass through a fine sieve) and cook until desired thickness, about 50 minutes.

At the end of cooking, add salt, sugar, pepper to taste and apple cider vinegar. Stir occasionally to prevent the mixture from burning.

Remove from heat and pour into prepared jars, then seal.

SEALING PROCESS:

Roll up the ketchup while it’s hot.

Turn the jars upside down and let them cool.

Store homemade ketchup in the cellar or refrigerator.

OPTIONS:

Add sweet apples and get the Krasnodar sauce from your childhood.

Use sour apples for natural Heinz.

For spiciness, add a head of garlic and a mixture of black, red, white and pink peppers — you get a real delicacy that men will especially appreciate!
